In my opinion, though there are many resources on the internet, in print, and audio, the absolute best way to learn how to speak Spanish, is directly from the source.
What better way to learn the language than directly from a native Spanish speaker? Hiring a tutor to teach you is relatively inexpensive, and the language can be picked up quickly.
A good teacher will have you speaking somewhat fluently in a short period of time if you apply yourself to the task. Not everyone has the resources to hire a tutor however, so the next best thing would be one of the course packs that are available in many stores.
These courses generally include a series of CD, and perhaps a book or two. These were previously distributed on cassette tapes, but with the advent of technology, cassette tapes gave way to CD players, though you still may find sets of these cassettes around.
Another alternative that you can use to learn the Spanish language is Spanish to English: English to Spanish dictionary. These dictionaries contain the most common words used and can be a great help in your learning. The dictionaries can be found in the local bookstore at a reasonable cost.
